Woman’s right has been an issue for a long time. The women’s movement officially started on July 14, 1848 and is still giving voice to women today. It is hard for a woman today to comprehend that there was a time in our recent history when women were not allowed to vote. It is interesting to note that the movement had an international presence. New Zealand, Australia, and Great Britain each began the dialogue around the same time.

How Can We Protect Women’s Rights

Although the major equal rights movements have been, for the most part, finished for decades, the right of women is something that there is still sometimes the necessity to fight for. While it is no longer such a rampant epidemic of disrespect, women still get treated as lesser individuals, in some homes, workplaces, even sometimes during recreation activities. While this is not something to be taken lightly, it is a problem that can be solved with a small amount of effort, by women and men alike.
