
BOARD OF ADVISORS
Cathy Dodd is a business professional with over 20 years experience in corporate development and investor relations, developing and managing financial communications programs as well as raising capital, and mergers and acquisitions. Cathy's nonprofit experience includes pro bono consulting projects through Harvard Business School's Community Partners Program, working with the Fort Mason Center and the Bay Area Discovery Museum. In addition, she is an active volunteer for the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, and the Women's Technology Cluster. Cathy earned her MBA in Finance/Accounting at The Anderson School at UCLA.
Kathleen Egan
Dana Polk is a government relations specialist for the Presidio Trust, a Federal agency that manages the Presidio National Park. Dana has 12 years of experience working in government and politics, including two years on the Washington, D.C., staff of Senator Barbara Boxer. In her current position, Dana manages the Trust's relations with the White House, Congress, and State and City governments. She has a B.A. in Political Science and an M.A. in International Relations. Dana has a long history of volunteer work for nonprofits focusing on children's issues. She loves the outdoors and spends her free time mountain biking, hiking, and running. Dana completed the 1999 Honolulu Marathon and recently finished a sprint-distance triathlon.
Tricia Roth is an entrepreneur who has been involved in the start-up of a number of small businesses in the Bay Area. She is the co-founder and former President of Direct Language Communications, a multilingual communications firm. Having opted out of the corporate environment, Tricia continues to consult with developing businesses on long term strategic plans and operations issues. The skills she developed in growing and managing a business are an asset to WIA. She is also a great promoter for WIA and initiated our first fundraiser in 1999. Tricia spends much of her time traveling these days, but she always manages to volunteer on WIA events when she's in town.
