Women In Action

Our rock climbing day teaches women to go beyond their comfort zones. When they walk into the gym in the morning, most of them are convinced that they won't go up on the wall at all. We take our time at the start of the day, talking about safety, but also talking about fear.

How do you know when you are afraid? Your heart is beating, palms sweating, you have a stomach ache. All those feelings make you want to quit and get back to your comfort zone. but when all your classmates are supporting and encouraging you, you find that you can go one step further, despite the fear. And once you land on the ground again, the fear is replaced with elation!

That's what we want to teach about going to a new job. It's scary at first, but the fear doesn't need to make you quit. With support and confidence, you can work through the fear and be successful.
